The UEC scheme ‘You said, we did’ has been running for quite a while but there is no denying the covid years impacted heavily on industry and likewise had an impact on submissions.
So, at the end of 2021 the process was given an overhaul. A training pack on hazard and risk identification was developed, instead of Monthly awards it was pushed to quarterly and increased in value along with an end of year special award. And finally, the opportunity for the award winner to pick a voucher for an outlet of their choice. The response over the first quarter has been first class with some great submissions and there are still some training sessions to complete.
Well done Jason Whiffen, the winner of Unit Engineers first quarterly draw. Jason received a £100 voucher for a shop outlet of his choice when his name was drawn from 36 near miss / hazard observation submission.
